Mana ERG's early cassettes
Mana ERG
Label: Tonspur Tapes – TT 49
Format: Cassette, Mini-Album, C30
Country: Germany
Released: 1993
This was Mana ERG's debut release and some of the tracks will re-appear later in the album Janus. Side B contains the soundtrack to "Ipogea": sponsored by the University of Rome, it is a video by Francesco Maria Betti about underground architecture, from the ancient catacombs to the modern subway system. This rather surreal view of the city of Rome seen from below the surface already displays the cinematic feel of the band's music.
